P.A.R.O.S.H. is a brand founded in the Eighties from an idea of the stylist Paolo Rossello, who recreates second-hand garments, customising them with his creativity. This is how the "customised" style was created, i.e. the evolution of vintage, of which the designer Rossello is the precursor: a mix of rare pieces, known labels, military clothing and memories.
The name P.A.R.O.S.H. is, in fact, an acronym that stands for "Paolo Rossello Second Hand". The collections made with precious fabric reflect a vintage-ethnic style, proposing an ironic-fusion wardrobe and strongly characterising the production of the brand, which for this reason is freed from seasonal dynamics.
Ermine, silk and fox tails are transformed and re-presented, such as piece-dyed cashmere, camouflage printed jumpers and matte sequin applications. U.S. Navy jackets with beads become little sweaters, '50s headscarves become blouses and strips of fabric from the Far East give rise to coats and dresses.
